Position Summary:

Support plant production needs for daily machine operation, changeovers, regrind, filters, material handling. This person must be flexible to move around different departments on a daily basis and responsibility will vary according to the business needs. Must be flexible in schedule. This individual may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime which includes coming in earlier, staying late, working weekends and/or holidays depending on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Load cart full of handles boxes 25lbs per box.
  • Take cart to all operator stations.
  • Unload boxes and fill the conveyor that holds the boxes.
  • Use a safety utility knife and open all boxes for operators. (this takes about 5 to 8 minutes per station depending on how many cavities on machine 3 times per shift.)
  • Load all cardboard on a cart deliver cardboard to all operator stations (prepare the cardboard if operator does have it done)
  • Take away all scrap cardboard waste bring it to bailer station load bailer.
  • When bailer gets full wire and empty bailer (20 min to 30 min)
  • Take away all production rejects load on cart and bring to the grinding room and unload it.
  • Give at least 3 breaks that breaks down to 6 breaks of 15 minutes and 3 breaks of 30 minutes.
  • Separate cleaning schedule from production manager as well as cleaning the handle and cardboard storage area.
  • Must/be willing to obtain a fork lift license. Must be able to read and write in English and must understand the production order system.
  • Sweep raw material area and pick up debris too large to sweep.
  • Mop oil under machine and remove rags.
  • Cleans mold faces on all machines
  • Cleans resin/colorant spillage around Injection unit & Molding Machine
  • Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

 

Job Requirements

Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions in English
  • Must be able to work 8pm-8am rotating shift

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, 90+ degrees
