Essential Functions

  • Rigorously apply safety standards, ensure all team members actively adhere to safety standards and identify any potential risks in their area
  • Ensure 6S standards are applied and encourage team members to use them for continuous improvement of their working environment
  • Responsible for the start & stop of all machines & auxiliary equipment
  • Responsible for processing machines, making machine adjustments
  • Needs to follow appropriate lock out/tag out procedures and other preventive maintenance procedures
  • Responsible for set up and operation of machine tools
  • Fits and assembles parts to make and repair dies
  • Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part
  • Verifies dimensions, alignments and clearances
  • Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
  • Communicates effectively with other departments, supervisors and shift personnel
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Mathematical skills including the ability to measure, calculate percentages, and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry
  • Technical degree preferred; or equivalent combination of related experience and training
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
