Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the company’s sales plan in a territory consisting of the entire state of Michigan. The position is home-based. It will require some overnight business travel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand the company's existing customer base across all product lines to assist the company in hitting growth objectives.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with existing and potential customers.
  • Quickly develop core competencies in all aspects of our business, including products, services, pricing and competitive landscape.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot quality and customer service issues.
  • Maintain a robust prospect pipeline, prepare proposals, submit quotes, author call reports, sales presentations, sample/demonstrate products.
  • A willingness to ask probing questions, come up with solutions, and overcome objections.
  • Source raw materials, such as empty containers, in addition to selling
  • Assist customers with any and all tasks relevant to doing business with the company.
  • Passionately communicate our brand identity and implement company initiatives.
  • Abide by the company’s code of conduct at all times and in all situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the company, or your direct supervisor.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of B2B industrial sales or distribution sales experience, preferably with industrial-oriented UN packaging.
  • Must possess an “Of Service” attitude towards customers and colleagues alike.
  • Experience with SalesForce.com or similar CRM tool.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be comfortable in office, factory and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to work with senior management to plant level employees.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot-table experience a plus) and PowerPoint.
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider candidates with appropriate industry experience in lieu of college degree.
