Position Summary:

The warehouse shipping/receiving supervisor plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so production and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Responsibilities: 

• Enforces safety / environment regulations according to company policy.
• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates monitors and evaluates performance of receiving/shipping associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage locations.
• Counsels, records and disciplines as necessary. Develops crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
• Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received.
• Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
• Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
• Oversees the supplying of materials to stage material for assembly.
• Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
• Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
• Ensures workers are properly trained and equipped to perform their job tasks.
• Review shipping notices, bill of lading, invoices, production schedules and orders to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to satisfy shipping and receiving activities.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain accurate inventory for all departmental supplies, repairs and maintenance of shipping equipment.
• Issue written and oral instructions to assist employees with work process.
• Oversee inbound and outbound activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and product quality.
• Perform Inventory control & cycle counts on raw material in warehouse.
• Certified Forklift driver to be able to drive in the warehouse if needed.
