Job Description

THIRD SHIFT QUALITY INSPECTOR NEEDED 11pm-7am

Job Duties Include:

  • Reading blueprints and understanding product specifications  
  • Inspect, test, and measure materials or products being produced
  • Understand how to gather data, investigate problems and report findings in detail
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
  • Prepare and submit reports to Quality Manager
  • Accept or reject raw materials and finished goods
  • Monitor molding operations to ensure that they meet production standards
  • Measure products with pi tape, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
  • Quarantine all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Applicant Expectations:

    • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
    • Savy with technology, computers and software with appropriate training
    • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
    • Must be comfortable with math concepts and working in inches (within thousands of decimal).
    • Ethical, responsible and trustworthy
    • Working knowledge of MS Office (excel and word)
    • Must be able to communicate and understand English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
    • High School Degree; Further qualifications will be a plus
    • Pay is based on skill, work experience and training/education

     

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.                                                      
  • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination and motor skills.                
  • Must be able to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range.
