Position Summary:  The Quality Manager is a proactive leader who works under the guidance of Mauser Packaging Solutions corporate policies and procedures. They adhere to all plant safety and health procedures/policies, environmental duties and customer quality standards. The Quality Manager’s strategic focus is to work with the plant operations team to continuously improve the quality of the product, the safety and health of the employees and environmental aspects of the facility.


  • Enforcement of the adherence to policies and procedures
  • Develop site level policies and mandates
  • Trigger, track and keep the records of health and safety training for all employees.
  • Organize and carry out internal safety and quality audit programs.
  • Derive and implement corrective occupational health and safety actions (from the risk assessments).
  • Prepare work instructions for occupational health, safety and quality.
  • Consult on occupational health, safety, and accident prevention issues with the health and safety committee and corporate safety leadership.
  • Maintain the environmental program (together with the plant team)
  • Manage the waste, wastewater and emissions according to the legal and statutory regulations.
  • Explain, implement and monitor the applicable regulations governing the transportation of dangerous goods (DOT).
  • Explain, implement and monitor the requirements from the ISO 9001 and GFSI standards
  • Prepare and be site management representative for external audits and customer surveys and customer sire audits.
  • Visit the customer as applicable
  • Support root cause analysis, enter actions to 8D format, track actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Maintain Salesforce entries as applicable
  • Evaluate deviations (from inspections and measurements), determine corrective actions.
  • Continuously review instruction and training for all employees (including temporary staff).
  • Train and manage all quality technicians on required daily quality procedures and checks.
  • Prepare, conduct and document the (monthly) Management Review meeting (with the plant team).
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA & Control Plan


Job Requirements


  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree and/or 5 years managerial role in quality.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality and safety experience in a high volume manufacturing operation.
  • Strong problem solver with good work ethic and decision-making skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
