General Summary of Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To operate machines, equipment and produce production parts to required tolerances
  • Must be able to read, comprehend and use simple mathematics; apply information gained from reading product specifications, quality instructions, and work instructions
  • Follows directions and produces required quantities
  • Responsible for quality of parts in the assigned part of the production process and ensures quality procedures are followed

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; ability to anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products needed
  • Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment as required on the shop floor
  • Installation of:
    • Plugs
    • Capseals
    • Rings
    • Other parts or materials as specified
  • Utilize various hand tools, including but not limited to air guns, plug wrenches, capseal tools in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining appropriate speed with production flow
  • Demonstrate acceptable level of capabilities in all areas of the Plant during General Labor Rotation
  • Report any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to Supervisor, Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant Manager
  • Forklift Driving if licensed
  • Assist with inventories
  • Housekeeping and TPM Maintenance in all areas
  • Participate in Team Meetings 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Keep work area clean
  • Miscellaneous jobs in the production area, as needed or directed

 

Job Requirements

Education Required: High school graduate or G.E.D. 

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 55 pounds regularly throughout the shift
  • In a one hour period throughout the work day, approximately 45 minutes standing, 5 minutes kneeling/ stooping and 10 minutes walking
  • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
  • Must be able to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range
  • Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cold in winter months and hot in the summer months

 

Other Comments: This is a day shift, four-days per week position (Monday to Thursday) with an occasional Fridays and Saturdays. Shift starts at 7:00 am and ends at 5:00pm with occasional overtime. Employee must utilize all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE), as required. PPE is provided – hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses, etc. and reimbursement for steel-toed safety boots/shoes. Employee must be able to maintain strict quality standards consistent with ISO 9001 compliance
