Position Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for front-line day-to-day operations of a designated production team to include safety, quality, efficiencies and meeting customer expectations. Provides overall direction to production floor employees in the areas of production, scheduling, performance management, training and other related areas striving to improve overall operational efficiencies.


  • Troubleshoot production issues relative to the manufacturing lines and maintain minimal downtime
  • Assist in the training of new associates and monitor performance of all production employees
  • Ensures proper personnel coordination per the production schedule
  • Coordinate and participate with maintenance for any necessary repairs; i.e.: troubleshoot and correct production problems on a daily basis
  • Responsible for insuring that the hourly/daily checks for production are documented properly
  • Ensure proper staffing is in place; coordinate with Plant Manager with any staffing needs or production scheduling conflicts
  • Communicate with upper management regarding potential safety, personnel, and quality issues; to include safety compliance issues, equipment failure, quality control issues, and unplanned downtime
  • May conduct tool store inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed
  • Prepares and reviews employees worked hours for submission to payroll.


Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 years supervisory experience in manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience working in a Lean environment;
  • Self-directed team player
