This position is based in our Memphis, TN location.

Position Summary:

The Process Engineer position is accountable for the planning, development, design, and coordination of manufacturing improvements and capital projects.  Specific accountabilities include: evaluating, developing and implementing manufacturing processes to improve plant safety, product quality, process efficiencies and machine reliability; improve work flow; validate improvements implemented; preparation of manufacturing process documentation; conduct failure analyses.


  • Leads safety through personal example and by actively engaging with team members in the location.
  • Participate in implementing safety improvements.
  • Assists in plant production and quality assurance while maintaining processes & maximizing machine performance, safety and quality.
  • Monitor and improve machine process, develop work instructions and train employees.
  • Manage activities of cost reduction projects.
  • Evaluates and improves manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
  • Assist in determining root cause and provide corrective action with customer product complaints.
  • Participate in projects that support in reducing downtime and scrap.
  • Organize, plan and commission new or modified production lines.
  • Investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner.
  • Validate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired results and sustainability.
  • Develop appropriate manufacturing process documentation for integration into the company’s quality system.
  • Provide training to operators, supervisors, managers on new or modified processes.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or related discipline
  • At least two years of experience in manufacturing. Internship experience accepted.
  • Working knowledge of high volume manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality improvement methods. Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Desired attainment of nationally recognized certification in manufacturing engineering, such as AME or SME.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. SAP & Data Analysis (such as Minitab) experience a plus.
