Purpose and Scope:

Actively seeks to increase sales volume by properly identifying and servicing existing accounts, growing sales at existing accounts, and pursuing new accounts in a highly competitive environment servicing the industrial, commercial and food industries rigid packaging needs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Strategic account management, from planning to implementation to organizational buy-in; proactively manage inside sales customer base.
  • Follow up with all new buying accounts to facilitate next steps and strategies.
  • Understand our current business at each customer and develop, maintain, and grow the business.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Create plans, pricing and understand business decisions impact on Large Packaging and the marketplace.
  • New business prospecting. Initiate high volume of outbound calls to both customer base and prospects.
  • Develop and manage executive level relationships both internal and external.
  • Thorough understanding of competitor’s products, processes and capabilities – people and manufacturing strategies/strengths. Leverage this knowledge to benefit Large Packaging.
  • Be a consultant and value-added resource to the customer; bring forward customer opportunities versus responding to customer’s needs. Anticipate instead of react. Provide ongoing support.
  • Field new business inquiries, determine the opportunities, and handle accordingly.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience
  • 2+ years experience in sales or related background
  • Proven ability to develop and implement business strategies
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience
  • Experienced in Cold calling
  • Leadership ability
  • Ability to develop comprehensive understanding of financial business and data analysis
  • Ability to develop value selling skills
  • Strategic thought processes
  • Ability to develop strong negotiating skills
  • Thorough follow up and record keeping skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Flexibility to work in a changing environment
