POSITION SUMMARY

In the short-term, this position will assist with the implementation of a standardized customer quoting process across five sales regions and four major product categories for the new and reconditioned product segments. This individual will partner with regional Sales Vice Presidents, Territory Sales Managers, logistics management, and software developers to assist with developing and/or refining our quoting workflow tool.

In the long-term, this position will assist with developing pricing bands for use in the quoting process, collect and analyze data to provide insight and support for site-specific pricing strategies, and develop templates to report on KPIs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to gain an understanding of each market’s competitive landscape, seasonal trends, raw material sourcing capacity, and plant utilization.
  • Assist with implementing a standardized customer quoting process.
  • Recommend changes to quoting workflow tool to enhance abilities.
  • Use information gained to provide pricing benchmarks for quote requests submitted by TSMs.
  • Develop models to illustrate price/margin performance and areas for opportunity.
  • Collect and analyze data to provide insight and support for site-specific pricing strategies.
  • Create templates to report on KPIs as well as the financial and volume impact of pricing actions.
  • Assist with calculating unit costs by product type and location for the reconditioning segment for use in identifying low-margin customers.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests and other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or another relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analyst role preparing complex analyses for a company with multiple locations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (macros, pivot tables, VBA).
  • Microsoft Dynamics SL, QAD, Salesforce and PowerBI a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-starter with the ability to independently identify action items.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the flexibility to quickly adapt to changing needs.
  • Possess customer service attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong team orientation with ability to work collaboratively and influence others across the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
