Position Summary:

The Corporate Quality Engineer position will work in conjunction with the Corporate Quality Manager to provide technical process support to the production and operation teams. This position will provide engineering support for plants in statistical process control, process capability and quality improvement projects. This position will support the design and development of critical to quality software tools such as Infinity QS and Microsoft SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and implementation of an Infinity Strategy for 9 manufacturing plants.
• Responsible for the design, development, project definition and maintenance of the Infinity QS database.
• Provide analysis and reporting of process performance data for both the plant and corporate levels.
• Perform capability studies to identify and establish control limits and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and execute SPC training to management and plant floor personnel.
• Identify through data analysis process improvement opportunities and assist as team member to process improvement teams.
• Assist in developing quality system solutions for key quality processes through the utilization of SharePoint capabilities (i.e. development of key workflows, plant dashboards, electronic forms, and document controls).

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing with a background in quality assurance and process control.
• A BS Degree in Engineering required with focused study on Six Sigma principles
• Microsoft SharePoint experience preferred

• Extensive knowledge of Infinity QS Software including programming, project definition and data definition.
• Strong computer skills (Minitab, SharePoint, SAP)
• Demonstrated experience in performing process capability studies.
• Expertise in process improvement principles and a structured approach to problem solving
• Ability to train manufacturing staff on statistical process control theory and practice
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing background
• This position entails 75-80% travel.
