Mauser is experiencing significant growth – both organically as well as through acquisition – therefore the opportunities for successful individuals can be significant.  The Director of Operations Controlling is responsible for the management of a divisional corporate financial results and integrity, while assisting with business decisions made through the utilization of financial data.

This position reports to the VP, Finance & Treasurer, Mauser NA, and is based in our East Brunswick, New Jersey headquarters.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and directs for all operational divisions (Plastic, Metal, IBC and Fiber).
  • Directs the monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance and financial analysis as well as internal controls.
  • Controls the daily financial and leadership responsibility for MAUSER Corp's Finance and Customer Service Departments.
  • Responsible for the financial integrity of MAUSER Corp's operational Balance Sheet and P&L (including inventory, A/P, PP&E and Payroll).
  • Collaborates with the Divisional General Managers through benchmarking data and financial analysis such as ROI and other established methods (i.e., Bridges and Variance analysis completed on a daily or monthly basis).
  • Institutes and continues to develop new reporting methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Oversees and implements company-wide guidelines and processes to improve results and financial timelines while continuously improving the finance and customer service teams.
  • Collaborates with Vice President of Finance regarding MAUSER Corp's. Consolidated financial decision making and group reporting.
  • Manages external annual audits at the facilities and divisional levels.
  • Responsible for annual audited physical inventory process and internal quarterly inventories and month cycle counting at all facilities.
  • Directs the activities of four direct reports and their respective teams.
  • Interfaces with Director, Procurement & Logistics and Head of Global Purchasing to analyze and report financial savings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting required: CPA or CMA a plus
  • 12+ years of related accounting experience required with a minimum of 3 years’ corporate financial management experience
  • Public Company experience preferred; manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with multiple location oversight
  • Prior experience with IBM AS/400, MFGPRO/QAD and Lean Manufacturing a plus.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with proven experience in mentoring and growing skills of direct reports
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work across the organization with a focus on ensuring the company is capable of scaling efficiently and with adequate controls
  • Self-directed, proactive with ability to multi-task
