Position Summary: The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for leading all team efforts while ensuring balance between excellent customer service performance and inventory management. Oversight includes metrics tracking, analyzing data and developing action plans for continuous improvement, while striving to improve overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates transportation activities and verifying progress and intervening in a timely manner when obstacles arise
  • Working closely with the Sales team, administration staff, and customers to obtain fast resolutions and alternatives to unresolved problems
  • Process freight/customer invoices weekly/monthly
  • Run weekly customer reports as needed
  • Keeping track of orders from process state to confirmed pickup completion, which includes changes of any BOLS as needed for quantity changes or reroutes for destination
  • Keeping track of all issues related to customer orders, to the final completion of pickup
  • Monthly performance reviews with direct reports
  • Delegating workload to appropriate direct reports
  • Develop talent and identify top performers
  • Will manage an operations team of 3
  • Establish KPI’s and SOP’s
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 8-10 years of relevant customer service experience
  • Combination of education and experience may be accepted
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the Logistics industry preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency. Must be able to analyze data from a variety of sources
  • Experience with SAP MM
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail and accountability
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and time management skills
