Position Summary:

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the collection, review and analysis of logistics data to support efforts to maximize the efficiency of the logistics operations. The role will help develop policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure quality of service/operation and drive freight cost control. In addition will oversee the accounts payable process related to corporate logistics ensuring that supplier payments are timely and accurate.

Responsibilities:  

  • Create and run various reports using data from ERP data, freight payment data and TMS data
  • Develop accurate KPI’s to track proper metrics to measure logistics performance
  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams with focus on detail and organization
  • Familiarity with financial statements, logistics and regulatory laws
  • Prior experience working with transportation related systems is preferred
  • Oversee the logistics accounts payable process including any third party support
  • Work closely with Accounting and Finance to ensure data is accurate and financials are posting to the correct month, including the accrual process
  • Create, run and develop decks (PowerPoints) to be used for weekly/monthly meetings

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:  

  • Three years’ experience of analytical support (non-manager), preferably in the supply chain industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field
  • Excellent analytical and financial skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Works well with all organizational levels
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
  • Able to work constructively under stress and pressure
  • Able to exhibit a high degree of professionalism
  • Able to work with and interact effectively with all levels of management
