Position Summary:

The Assistant Controller supports the Controller with responsibilities for managing day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and annual audits. This position contributes to the timely and accurate issuance of financial statements and provision of meaningful analysis of variance on business performance. The Assistant Controller will engage regularly with internal and external partners so effective partnership skills and strong communication is highly desirable. This position will have one direct report.

Job Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, A/R, A/P, and fixed assets
• Assist the Controller in managing the monthly accounting close process including journal entry review, account reconciliations and variance analysis to deliver complete, accurate and timely financial reporting
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer service while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance with GAAP
• Assist Controller with preparation of Monthly Plant Financial Outlook, Quarterly forecasts and Annual Budget
• Assist Controller with providing business partnering support to Plant Leadership (Cost reduction opportunity identification and monitoring and Benchmark/trend reporting)
• Provide supporting documentation for company audit
• Provide accounting support for corporate and operations functions
• Ad hoc reports, analysis and reporting
• Drive process improvement and efficiency in all accounting and close functions including ERP enhancements
• Other duties as assigned
