As the Vice President of Commercial Operations at Mauser Packaging, you will lead all commercial excellence initiatives and sales support activities to include pricing and margin performance, and container sourcing. 

Your essential duties and responsibilities include:


  • Develop and oversee execution of pricing strategies for margin optimization and continue to enhance the capabilities of the pricing team
  • Oversee the operation of CRM and sales reporting tools and ongoing enhancements or new systems to enable field sales teams and leaders
  • Lead the Sales Improvement Program for the division, working with sales leaders and supporting teams to identify and progress on key development initiatives
  • Partner with the finance team to create operating plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Own efforts to improve inbound flow of raw material; ranging from developing team of sourcing professionals to implementing continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements
  • Formalize commercial excellence initiatives to help improve sales KPI’s, RFQ management, reporting capabilities, and commercial policies
  • Develop subordinate leaders to successfully manage their individual scope, while also owning various cross-functional projects


Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, strong preference for MBA
  • 10 + years’ experience in commercial excellence or sales support leadership, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • The ability to take ambiguous or incomplete information and make timely decisions, involving key stakeholders as needed
  • Experience driving lasting, cross-functional change in a decentralized environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the flexibility to quickly adapt to changing needs.
  • Possess customer service attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong team orientation with ability to work collaboratively and influence others across the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
