Position Summary:

Support plant production needs for daily machine operation, changeovers, regrind, TPM, filters, material handling, and outbound shipments. Primarily responsible for assisting in production, shipping, and TPM/5S process. This person must be flexible to move around different departments on a daily basis and responsibility will vary according to the business needs. Must be flexible in schedule. This role will primarily work 1st shift, but this individual will be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime which includes coming in earlier, staying late, working weekends and/or holidays.


  • Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Will need to become certified as a Machine Operator level 1 at minimum. (Level 2 certification preferred)
  • Fill in as machine operator and/or shipping loader as needed.
  • Safely operate machine to properly produce product and follow proper procedures for packaging to external customers
  • Operate regrind machines and safely run and process all drums and flash totes according to the material and procedure.
  • Responsible for cleaning, organizing, and maintaining machine vacuum system and silo area at least 3-4 times per week.
  • Support quality, production, and shipping by inspecting customer drums as needed based on the orders and demand.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
  • Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
  • Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift
  • Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
  • Follow proper sorting and restacking instruction given by quality department
  • Assist in changeovers and color changes when called up by supervisor, Team Lead, or front end operators
  • Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager


Job Requirements


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions in English
  • Basic Math skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, 90+ degrees
