Job Description

The International Tax Manager will report to the Tax Director – Tax Operations.  The position will assist with various tax matters, including tax projects, tax compliance, tax provision, audits and other ad hoc projects (i.e. identification, analysis, and evaluation of tax savings strategies and planning opportunities).

This position is based in our Atlanta (Sandy Springs, GA) office and offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days on site and 1 remote work day per week.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review international components for quarterly tax accounting provision, which include but not limited to Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC, E&P analysis for foreign and Withholding Taxes.

  • Prepare and review U.S. international tax compliance, such as Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8975, 8992, 8993, and associated elections and statements.
  • Assist the US domestic tax team to prepare US Federal and State tax returns.
  • Partner with global tax team in the preparation of transfer pricing studies.
  • Coordinate with the global tax team to reconcile income tax accounts across all foreign tax ledgers and provide appropriate support for deferred balances.
  • Monitor and analyze existing and proposed tax legislation, informing management of the implications from both a tax compliance and provision standpoint.
  • Evaluate U.S. and foreign transactions to determine the applicable U.S. federal income tax and prepare technical memos to support and defend the taken tax positions.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements in various tax processes and implement changes to adopt best practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting
  • Ability to research and understand complex tax laws and determine correct tax treatment
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task efficiently and take ownership with projects, project leader skills
  • Experience with OneSource products (OTP and Tax Compliance)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties
  • Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
  • Excellent organizational skills, drive and lead project, project leader skills
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
