The Senior Supply Chain Analyst has a key role in the Sales, Inventory, Orders/Tracking and Operations Planning process. The position is responsible for participating in the forecast process and drives customer satisfaction through planning, tracking and customer facing resolution. This role will work closely with the S&OP team to forecast the product needs while working with operations and supply chain to assure customer commitment. The position will develop strong internal working relationships with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Planning, Procurement and Customer Service.

Responsibilities: Analyze supply and demand issues and facilitate resolution throughout the supply chain.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations and Planning
  • Participate in the Company’s Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process
  • Provide support to the SI&OP Manager and key stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory levels and take a proactive approach to understand planning issues, and supply chain concerns as well as financial impacts
  • Develop and manage supply chain process for 3rd party partnerships, collaborating with internal and external plant personnel for execution of inbound supply and outbound movements
  • Create ad hoc analysis as needed to understand what is driving demand and supply shifts in the business
  • Determine and drive problem solving initiatives between Sales, Operations and our customers

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance (business planning/forecasting) or mathematics preferred. Engineer or Master Degree is a plus
  • 5-7 years’ experience in demand planning/forecasting, supply planning, inventory management or related field required. Customer Service Experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience with modeling, analysis and simulation tools required
  • Strong analytical, financial and decision-making skills with an eye for detail and the ability to problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and achieve business results through collaboration
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues
  • Knowledge and previous work experience with high end ERP systems required, MS Solomon is a plus
  • Industrial and/or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience is preferred with manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Presentation and facilitation experience at all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented, self-motivated with a high sense of urgency and personal accountability
  • Demand and Supply Planning certification with IBF, APIC’s, CDPF or other industry certification is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (build charts/graphs, pivot table, sorting/filtering data, formulas, identifying trends/patterns in data)
