Position Summary:  The Safety Health Environmental Quality manager(SHEQ) is a proactive leader who works under the guidance of Mauser Packaging Solutions corporate policies and procedures. They adhere to all plant safety and health procedures/policies, environmental duties, Food safety and customer quality standards. The SHEQ Manager’s strategic focus is to work with the plant operations team to continuously improve the quality of the product, the safety and health of the employees, and environmental aspects of the facility.


  • Enforcement of the adherence to policies and procedures
  • Develop Food safety policies and mandates for Division
  • Trigger, track and keep the records of health and safety training for all employees.
  • Oversee and ensure all internal safety and quality audit programs are adhered.
  • Derive and implement corrective occupational health and safety actions (from the risk assessments).
  • Prepare work instructions for occupational health, safety and quality.
  • Consult on occupational health, safety, and accident prevention issues with the health and safety committee and corporate safety leadership.
  • Oversee the environmental program (together with SHE team)
  • Explain, implement and monitor the applicable regulations governing the transportation of dangerous goods (DOT).
  • Explain, implement and monitor the requirements from the ISO 9001 and GFSI standards
  • Prepare and be Divisional management representative for external Food Safety audits and customer surveys and customer site audits.
  • Visit the customer as applicable
  • Support root cause analysis, enter actions to 8D format, track actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Maintain Salesforce entries as applicable
  • Continuously review instruction and training for all employees (including temporary staff).
  • Ensure at that all Management reviews are conducted as required at each site.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, HACCP & Control Plans


Job Requirements


  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree and/or 5 years managerial role in quality.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in implementing a food safety program for food contact packaging
  • Strong understanding in ISO 9001;2015
  • Strong Understanding of SQF, ISO9001;22000 or other GFSI recognized food standard
  • Accredited Quality and Food safety auditor
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality, food safety and safety experience in a high volume manufacturing operation.
  • Strong problem solver with good work ethic and decision-making skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
