NIGHT OWLS WANTED!

3-1/2 Day work week (three 12hr shifts, one 6hr shift)

6pm to 6am Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat

 

ALSO, WILLING TO CONSIDER 8HR SHIFTS:

2nd shift - 2pm to 10pm, Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat

3rd shift - 10pm to 6am, Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat

Basic Function:

The maintenance mechanic will be responsible for all production maintenance, including product quality control, line maintenance, and repair of line machinery and equipment. This role involves applying mechanical expertise in determining work methods and procedures for producing quality product. Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety policies, work instructions and programs to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of all PPE, safety equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, Housekeeping, and 5S standards. 
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and tasks on all production equipment and machinery such as lubrication, filters, cleaning, and housekeeping.
  • Repair basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, wiring, valves, gauges, motors, and switches.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in the areas of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine controls.
  • Accomplish all assigned work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.  Document all assigned work through the work order system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment.  Experience within the plastic injection molding industry or similar plastics production facility is a plus. 
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment such as injection molding machines, resin vacuum systems, and plant automation is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to use measuring devices including amp meters, calipers, and hydraulic gauges.
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work night shift.
  • Ability to work a 12- hour shift for 42 hours per week.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Implement and follow safe work practices and rules.
  • Successfully pass a physician’s examination, drug screen, background check and e-verify.
  • Willing to have a baseline audiometric test.
  • Prefer high school graduates or GED’s
  • Sufficient work experience to be successful on the job.
