Position Summary:
Responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors hydraulic pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Use of proper lockout / tagout, personal protective equipment.
- Ability to utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality.
- Perform and understand predictive / preventative maintenance practices.
- Maintain plant lighting, boilers, the internal fuse system, and energy management.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, mechanical drawings, and sketches.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 442A Industrial Electrician License
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrician is required.
- Ability to read, interpret and update Electrical and Mechanical drawings / schematics is required.
- Experience in the following areas: Equipment Repairs, Equipment Improvements, Equipment Upgrades, New Equipment Installations, Preventive Maintenance, Knowledge and experience with installing, troubleshooting and repairing Programming Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi) Competency in troubleshooting HMI’s, Variable frequency drives, Motion control, Laser date coders, Ink jet printers, Case packers, Palletizers, High Speed Packaging system.
- Demonstrated ability to listen and follow instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to pay excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to use / operate hand tools, power tools and maintenance shop equipment.
