Position Overview

Reporting directly to the VP of Global FP&A, the FP&A Director will be a hands-on yet strategic leader who will manage Mauser’s financial planning and reporting processes globally.  This includes overseeing the development of internal management reporting packages that contain valuable insights into business and financial performance for both the Senior Leadership team and the Board of Directors.  In addition, it includes managing the annual budget cycle, periodic forecast process and long-range planning model to support strategic discussions and decisions.  This position will also own the development of comprehensive financial models to support tactical and strategic decision making, along with establishing processes and tools to track significant cost savings and/or sales improvement initiatives.  Finally, the Global FP&A Director will be responsible for leading initiatives that advance and improve FP&A processes global, including opportunities for standardization and process improvement. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget cycle, periodic forecast process and long-range strategic planning model
  • Oversee the preparation of internal management reporting packages that provide optimal transparency into business and financial performance
  • Partner with VP of FP&A and Chief Accounting Office to lead initiatives that advance and improve FP&A processes globally
  • Define the capabilities and requirements for a new consolidation system and lead the implementation of that system across the global FP&A function
  • Partner with Treasury to maintain critical elements of the cash forecast model and implement enhancements to improve the accuracy of the forecast
  • Develop consistent model for evaluating acquisitions and/or transaction scenarios and assist in due diligence process
  • Adhoc business analysis and decision support
  • Lead team of two direct reports

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or other applicable Masters-level degree preferred
  • 12+ years of work experience with 5-7 years of FP&A experience preferred
  • Strong analysis and modeling skills; ability to leverage available data to model possible outcomes
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task efficiently and take ownership of projects
  • High energy, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results
  • Highest level of professional and ethical performance standards
  • Experience as an effective leader, people manager and a team builder
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
