Basic Function:
The focus of this role will be to provide Administrative and Human Resources support to the facility and employee population.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all incoming visitors; assign name badges and safety equipment, as applicable.
- Manages the switchboard, answer all telephone calls and directs the caller to the appropriate individual/location.
- Receives sorts and distributes incoming mail. Stamp and sort all outgoing mail.
- Provide day to day support to site Quality Manager. This includes, but is not limited to: taking the monthly safety committee meeting minutes, generating the monthly safety newsletter, generating and maintaining reports for QC Department, updating employee training & Woodbridge CPAR database etc.
- Provide day to day support to Plant Manager & Plant Superintendent. This includes, but is not limited to: Maintaining and generating weekly and monthly plant production and OEE reports, generating weekly plant and maintenance employee overtime reports, maintaining the Attendance Point System database for union plant employees and generate weekly and monthly reports, creating PowerPoint presentations to communicate employee postings and news
HR/Payroll Duties
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees at facility
- Handle all pre-employment items for new hires, new hire orientation and benefits enrollment
- Create and maintain all personnel records
- Performs exit interviews and handles the termination process when employees leave
- Create PAN's and forward as applicable to employee's file and Corporate HR
- Assist with recruiting as needed
- Responsible for various reports such as: Corp. Monthly Headcount, Absenteeism, Union Dues, etc.
- Respond to requests for information from Corporate HR and other internal departments as needed
- Various other duties and special projects as assigned
